The more likely scenario is that the electric lead shorted out when the ‘bot got fried. The breaker would have to be tripped by now, right? On top of that, electricity tends to take the path of least resistance — which is no path at all, since the lead is likely lying in a puddle on the floor right now. Why would it take a “detour” through Midori when it’s essentially “already at the finish line”?
It certainly does seem that Midori made a bad decision there…. but as I recall, Midori knows a lot that she doesn’t know she knows. If that’s a factor here, her action may turn out to be good and (in retrospect) wise. Time (and Michelle) will tell.
Yeah there seem to be quite a few apparently sub-optimal choices that she seems to be obsessive-compulsive about carrying out–like chasing after that Weiss-phantom. On these occasions, she can;t be stopped or reasoned with. To me, it looks suspiciously like a programmed response. I don’t exactly know what to make of it, but, like you said, time (and Michelle). ^^

Because there was a sparkle, isn’t that obvious? It means rare loot, everyone knows that.

So she’s electric shock resistant? Interesting….
Michelle
Well, it certainly rattled her head a bit…
