So their society is like the dystopia depicted in the movie 1997 Gattaca. Some gen mods are expensive, can only be afforded by the rich and they typically want their money’s worth.
That explains a few things: why Weiss’s parents are such snobs and want her to end her friendship with Midori if they think she’s hampering their daughter’s academic performance, and it explains why Lor’s parents were compensated for the botched mod job, seemingly without hassle, since companies like that typically drag their feet when it comes to financial settlements, but I’m guessing they really wanted to avoid any bad publicity at almost any cost.

Oooh, BURN!
They both have a point. Now I’m waiting for them to realize that they really aren’t enemies…..

Perhaps, if Grey can cool his head!
But, y’know how that goes…

Slight typo in “offspring” there.

Thanks Nissa! I fixed it. 😀

Is Forrest a Gen-Mod? Because if he isn’t, then that just made his exchange with Grey even more profound.
Michelle
Nope, Forrest is not a gen-mod.
